A screening of two documentaries by San Francisco filmmaker Arthur Dong, who draws from both his experiences as a Chinese-American and as a gay man in his films. "Forbidden City U.S.A." tells the story of a Chinese-American nightclub in 1940s San Francisco that was depiected in the novel and Broadway musical "Flower Drum Song." "Hollywood Chinese" is a visual and cultural history of the Chinese in American feature films.
