Buh-bye Big Tex, hello sharks! Get a behind-the-scenes look as crews unload and build 12,000-square-foot exhibition; plus see flying, floating and even barking sharks October 27
WHAT: On Thursday (October 27) from 10:30 – 11:15 a.m., media can get a behind-the-scenes look as trucks are unloaded, crates are unpacked and displays are built for Planet Shark: Predator or Prey, the biggest blockbuster exhibition to land at the Museum of Nature & Science since BODYWORLDS. Making only its second stop in the United States, Planet Shark will open to the public November 3.
Media can get a close-up look as crews piece, place and make all preparations to bring the 12,000-square-foot exhibition to life. Spokespeople with the Museum of Nature & Science will be available for interviews.
Once in place Planet Shark will feature five immersive, interactive galleries of replicas including an 18-foot Great White, rare fossils dating back 380 million years, battle of the jaws, dive cages, documentaries, Jaws movie memorabilia and more, plus a fears and phobias area featuring interview footage from shark attack survivors, images and more.
WHEN: Thursday October 27, from 10:30 – 11:15 a.m.
WHERE: Museum of Nature & Science in Fair Park
Science Building lobby, 1318 S. 2nd Avenue, Dallas
PARKING: Parking is available in the lot across from the Science Building. Enter at Gate 5 off Robert B. Cullum Blvd. (TV trucks may park in the front circle drive of the Science Building.)
