The Dallas area has a long tradition of innovative retail experiences, as the birthplace of Neiman Marcus stores, and home to Highland Park Village, the oldest shopping center in the US. Dallas is a shopping experience that can’t be found anywhere else. Because one thing is for certain: Dallas loves its malls.
Noteworthy Shopping Centers & Malls in Dallas
Northpark Center – The gem of Dallas malls is North Park Center, which doubles as an art gallery featuring pieces from Ray Nasher's private collection. Northpark is an upscale shopping experience unlike any other, out-classing the competition with superior selection and elegant style. Northpark hosts seasonal fashion shows, and the mall's upscale 15-screen AMC Theater screens major selections from the annual AFI Dallas film competition.
Galleria Dallas – With its own anchor hotel, the Westin Galleria and over 200 retail stores, this tremendous mall is centered around an ice skating rink, open year round.
Mockingbird Station – A mixed-use shopping center with residential living, named for the rail station at its location, Mockingbird Station has great shopping, good eats and fine independent films at the Angelica Film Center.
West Village – A modern new urbanism village in trendy Uptown, West Village offers bookstores, coffee shops, a movie theater and great brands. Both the Dart Rail at Cityplace Station, and the McKinney Avenue Trolley serve the West Village.
Dallas Asian Trade District – With more than 200 shops featuring Asian imports and designer products, the Asian Trade District is a staple of Asian commerce in Dallas. The Dallas Asian Trade District is home to Dallas’ most well known Asian retail chain, Sam Moon.
